True story… I cannot tell you how many prospective clients changed their minds to book me because they found someone (artist) cheaper, or a friend, or a family member to do their makeup. After their wedding or event, I’ll get messages of “I’m sorry. I should’ve hired you instead.” Anything from incorrect color base, flashback with type of foundation, makeup that doesn’t last, bad choice of colors/application, not prepared, asking the client to bring their own makeup (no joke), as well as bad or lack sanitation which caused infections/reactions.
I’ve been a makeup artist for almost 10 years and I still love what I do. There are no words to describe the feeling I get when I first hand a client the mirror and I see the look on their faces of pure and utter joy. It’s like they are looking at themselves for the first time. I listen to my clients and try to make their dreams come to life and bring out their true beauty. This is just some of the many differences between a PROfessional makeup artist and a FAKEup artist… Know and respect the difference. #makeupartist #makeupartistlife #lifeofamakeupartist #bridal #bridalmua #provsamateur
